Bryan Ricci was homeless when he was younger. He got a job waiting tables after a while and turned his life around.
Now Ricci, 31, is intent on helping others avoid the path he took.
He invented a rubber wristband that doubles as an eraser. The wristband, called an Eraselet, has been used as a marketing tool promoting slogans such as “Erase Hunger” and, for the Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, “End Homelessness”.
Through a partnership with the Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, the Eraselets will be given to volunteers at Nashville Homeless Connect. This is an event in which advocates for the homeless, provide basic services and information about housing to the city’s homeless.
He came up with the idea when his 10 year old daughter kept losing her eraser. So he tied one to her wrist. And now, we have The Eraselets!
Today, there are two kinds of Eraselets, both featuring Scripture, being sold through LifeWay. A third is being sold at Dollar General Market.
Spokeswoman Judith Tackett, said the commission is planning to give Eraselets to runners who sign up for the Run for the Homeless 5K on May 12.
Bryan Ricci says if the wristband helps one person it will have been worth it!
These come in many different designs; animals, spring, creatures and more!
Very Cute! Kids love these!!
