SANDGRENS CLOGS – MADE IN SWEDEN – REVIEW

Sandgrens generously sent me a pair of clogs for review.  They’re made in Sweden!

I finally decided on the Milan clog, in black.  I couldn’t wait to get them.  And I wasn’t disappointed!  They’re gorgeous!  I wanted some with just a small heel and they were perfect.  They fit totally true to size and are just what I expected.

I can wear them with a dress or jeans or anything, really.  And I chose black because they go with any color.  I’ve always wanted to try a pair of wooden shoes.  I just love how they look.

They craft their footwear using the finest leathers, wooden bases, and metal hardware available throughout the world.  They’re so unique, I think everyone would want a pair.  Sweden is known for wooden shoes.  This company was started in the mid 1800’s and was passed down through generations.

They also have boots and all their styles are unique and modern.  They have shoes from the whole family.  At Sandgrens all of their products are crafted by hand.  Although very similar, each pair is unique with its own special characteristics.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THEIR SITE:

• Clogs are designed to allow your heel to “slip” when you walk, even if you have a closed back clog.
It also generally takes a couple of weeks to get used to your new clogs.

• We recommend wearing them for no more than a couple of hours a day for the first week, and a half day for the next week, so that your body and clogs will adjust to each other. Give your clogs some time and you will be happy.

• Apart from the PU bases all the bases that we use are made of wood, Swedish Alder wood; a beautiful and natural material that will make your feet happy. Keep in mind that wood is a rigid material and therefore it will not stretch or bend. The bottom of the base is covered with a thin rubber sole – not only does it protect the wood; it also increases your foothold and prevents you from slipping.

• Sizing can, and most likely will vary between different styles, e.g. a high vs. low heel, or a boot vs. a sandal clog.
Therefore, we recommend that you carefully read through the size chart before your purchase.

At Sandgrens we carefully select all of our materials by hand, and we use only the finest leathers to craft our clogs. Currently, we have seven types of leather in our collections. Each different leather style has a distinct look and feel, which gives them their own unique texture and color qualities.
