I really love this book! Every teenager should have a copy! It explains everything about getting a job at that young age. It tells in the beginning where to go to find out how old they have to be to get a job in their own state.
This book tells them to think about their interests and try to find a job that relates to them. Also, it tells where they can look for one, like Job Services. And to research on the internet.
Hey Get A Job talks about writing up a master application. It goes through each part, explaining how to fill it out. At the end of each chapter there is also a question and answer section. These are from some of her students.
It also, tells them how to dress and what to say in an interview. It even has a W4 form, so they won’t be surprised when they have to fill that out.
I would love to see copies of this book in the schools. It gives them life lessons they really need to know.
