I have several friends and family members that are almost impossible to buy for.  So, lately I’ve been buying more gift cards.

It makes me happy that they are going to end up with something they really want.  Whether it be a night out to dinner, a spa where they can relax, or something they want from a store.

Did you know that 73% of people would rather get a gift card than something else?

Gift cards are not only great for the receiver, but can also be great for the giver!

For instance, watch for discounted gift cards at restaurants, and retailers.  A lot of times you can get a big discount for buying a few at a time.  Also, if you buy gift cards at the grocery store, a lot of times, you can get up to $1 off per gallon of gas at some major stations!

In fact, right now at Safeway you can get 4X the points when you buy gift cards.

If you have a gift card you’re not going to use for some reason, you can trade it in or exchange it at websites like CardPool.com or sell it at a discount. That’s pretty cool, don’t you think?
