Suttle Lake, Sisters, Oregon is one of the #BestVacationsInUSA
There’s a lodge nestled in the heart of the Deschutes National Forest in Sisters, Oregon amid soaring pines. Suttle Lake Resort provides an enchanted escape. It’s not your regular hotel, by any means.
It’s in a glacial valley in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Suttle Lake has long been a refuge for its visitors.
Take a swim in the cool mountain lake, go hiking and picnicing in the woods, horseback riding is available in the vicinity and if you’d like you can try riding a llama! Of course you can go fishing and boating and if you’re lucky you might see one of the bald eagles flying over.
The Lodge has two Lofted Guest Suites located on the second story and boast a tremendous view of Suttle Lake. Each lofted guest suite features a stone fireplace, a bathtub/shower combination, a queen-sized bed downstairs and two twin-sized beds upstairs in the loft that can be converted to a king. Perfect for two people, but just enough room for four. If you must, a satellite television, high-speed internet and a phone are available for your use.

The Pointe – Originally built in 1925, this beautifully updated cabin has quickly become our most popular. And why not? It sits right on the lake (in the 1920’s there were no basement issues) and is bordered by Lake Creek. With two fantastic decks flanking two sides of the cabin and its own private dock, this cabin offers a lot of privacy. Two stories, two bathrooms, a fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen, a television and DVD player, and room to sleep up to eight people, this cabin is perfect for the entire family. It has one bedroom downstairs with a king-sized bed, a queen sleeper-sofa in the living room, two queen-sized beds in the loft upstairs, and a twin sleeper in the little nook overlooking the lake. Please note the Pointe DOES NOT have satellite television.
