Want A Friend For Life?

 

All you have to do is go to your humane society or a pet rescue and adopt a pet.  You’ll have a friend for life!

 

There are so many dogs and cats in shelters! If you’re looking for a pet, please adopt! They only have room and money for so many animals and well, you know what that means.  I wish everyone would adopt and not go to pet stores.  The puppies in those stores are almost always sick with kennel cough. It’s very contagious.   Most pet stores get their animals from puppy mills and such.  A 2011 study from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and Best Friends Animal Society also found that puppy mill puppies often have longstanding psychological damage leading to fearful and compulsive behaviors.

But if you do buy from a pet store,  ask them for information on the breeder and check those records against its inspections at the USDA’s site.
