This buttercream frosting is great for piping, writing, flowers and borders. And it's delicious.

Serves: 1 Cake
Ingredients
- ½ C Shortening (I use Crisco)
- 1 Stick Butter, Softened
- 1 t Vanilla
- 4 C Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Beat butter and shortening until creamy
- Add Vanilla
- Gradually beat in sugar, i C at a time.
- Scrape down sides once in a while
- Then add milk a little at a time, until you get the consistency you want.
- NOTE: For thinner icing, add a tablespoon of light corn syrup or milk
