Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes Recipe
These also have brewed coffee in them. The flavor of these is like no other! I can’t believe how good these turned out! The taste is just amazing!
My husband, kids, all of us, just absolutely loved these chocolate bacon cupcakes.

This recipe for chocolate bacon cupcakes is just delicious. If you like chocolate and bacon, you'll love these! It also has some coffee in it, so it's just yummy!

Serves: 24
Ingredients
- 12 Slices Bacon
- 2 C All Purpose Flour
- ¾ C and 1 Tablesp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 C Sugar
- 2 teasp Baking Soda
- 1 teasp Baking Powder
- ½ teasp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1 C Strongly Brewed Coffee, cold
- 1 C Buttermilk
- ½ C Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your overn to 375
- Line cupcake pan (Makes 24)
- Bake the Bacon until crispy, done. then crumble it up into really small pieces.
- Stir in a bowl, Flour, ¾ C of the Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Salt
- Push to the sides, making a well, and add in Eggs, Coffee, Buttermilk, and Oil. Stir just until blended.
- Mix in ¾ of the Bacon, Keep the rest for Garnish.
- Spoon into cupcake liners.
- Bake for 20 - 25 minutes, Until top springs back
- Cool Completely
- Frost with Chocolate Icing
- Garnish with the rest of the Cocoa Powder and small pieces of bacon.

That sounds really yummy. Do you have suggestions for substituting the coffee? I’m not supposed to have it and my husband hates the taste.
Melinda, I think a substitution for coffee could be chocolate milk. That actually sounds really good to me!

Oh my these sound and look so yummy. I think I will wait to make them until school starts and have them for my grandchildren when they come home from school the first day. I’m sure we will all love them.

At first I would have thought this would not taste very good, but the more I think of it, I love bacon with my pancakes or on a biscuit with eggs, why not try it with cupcakes.
