Rehab And All Addictions
This is just one place to get help with addiction. A person can be addicted to just about anything.
Morningside Recovery sounds like a really good place to get help. If it’s in the wrong state, just search for one in yours. They’re everywhere now. Rehab is the place to recover.
Morningside Recovery is an all- addiction mental health recovery center located in beautiful Newport Beach, California.
They have a dedicated, qualified staff. They just want to help people. They provide a tranquil, serene atmosphere. And they believe everyone deserves to have a full recovery.
They work with people that are addicted to many things. Drug abuse can often be linked to mental health disorders, such as ADD, ADHD, PTSD and more.
There are more people addicted to prescription drugs now than ever before. Morningside has the tools and staff to help people with this and other addictions.
Binge eating is just one addiction people need help with. It’s eating a large amount of food in a short period of time. It’s just the beginning of long term self-abuse. It triggers the same reward system in the brain known to cause addictive behavior. And it’s become just a big a problem as drug abuse. They have experienced, educated counselors to help with body image and teach you how to have a balanced, nutritional diet.
And then there’s marijuana abuse. It has long term effects on memory and learning abilities. It’s been known to be the gateway-drug for a long time. Abusing THC can produce acute psychotic reactions, anxiety, schizophrenia, and genetic disorders.
Then there’s Bath Salts and other Designer Drugs. They’re so dangerous, due to the ingredients used, are extremely poisonous. Bath salts is one of the worst, most dangerous designer drugs around right now. Recently it was in the news, a man named Rudy Eugene tried to ingest the face of a poor homeless victim! How horrible is that? These drugs can be made with household items, so they’re easy to get. Using designer drugs even one, single time can cause severe distress, uncontrollable violence and even death.
Bath Salts have hallucinogenic properties, a lot like LSD. They can cause psychotic episodes, convulsions, and extreme paranoia. Doesn’t sound like fun to me! People experience feelings of intense energy, violence and invincibility. These terrifying effects are like using methamphetamine and PCP. They can also cause very high body temperatures, which can cause brain damage and even death.
The latest addiction happening now, is Facebook addiction. People that have this can become extremely depressed and disappointed when nobody contacts them. They can become anxious and irritable. This can make people withdraw from their real life and effect their relationships with family and friends.
Symptoms of Facebook abuse can be found by asking yourself a few simple questions:
When you’re not on Facebook, do you spend time thinking about it or planning when you will you use it?
Do you feel an uncontrollable urge to use Facebook?
Do you escape personal problems by using Facebook?
Have you tried to cut down your use of Facebook to no avail?
If you are away from Facebook long, do you get anxious or restless?
Has the overuse of Facebook had a negative impact on your work/education?
Answering yes to these questions, can mean you are addicted. It’s a lot like video game addiction, where you feel the need to withdraw from real life.
All addictions are symptoms of deeper emotional and mental issues. At Morningside Recovery, and all rehabs, they work with you to get you through the addiction and find out the root of the problem. And help you to learn how to stay clean, be social, active, and happy again.
If you or a loved one has an addiction, you should contact Morningside Recovery or another rehab. You can call them 24 hours a day at 866-387-2173. They’re there to help!
