What Do You Think About The Chipotle Ban?
After receiving a petition from Mom’s Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Chipotle has become the latest to ban firearms in their restaurants, except for authorized law enforcement personnel.
The petition was in response to an open carry demonstration in Texas that led to many people openly, and legally carrying firearms in to a Chipotle Restaurant, which included military style assault weapons.
Keep in mind that no laws were broken. According to a Chipotle spokesperson, this caused many customers to be intimidated and uncomfortable. Really? In the gun toting state of Texas? Once again, pressure from gun grabbers has forced a company to take away the legal rights of decent honest citizens!
Chipotle claims that they respect the rights of gun owners. If so, then why not just ban open carry? It seems like there may be more to this. I suspect that they were holding on to this announcement for some time, waiting for a reason to make it official. Law-abiding gun owners and conceal carry permit holders are going to respect the ban but does Chipotle believe that criminals are going to abide by their wishes and not bring illegal weapons in to their stores?
If they are so concerned for the safety of their customers and employees, then why ban trustworthy legal gun owners from their establishments? Sadly every major shooting that has happened in recent memory has happened in a gun free zone because these people know there is no one to shoot back at them. If you ask me, I say it is just common sense.
The Constitution gives us the right to bear arms and state laws give us the right to open carry as well as conceal carry with permits. It seems that the only way to make these companies understand that we will not stand for this is to affect their bottom lines by refusing to spend our money on their products or services.
Chipotle now joins a list of other businesses like Cinemark, AMC, Regal Entertainment Group, HH Gregg, Value City, Whole Foods and Waffle House that are being boycotted by gun owners across the country for violating our constitutional rights to protect our families and ourselves.
Personally, I hope that Chipotle will reconsider because my family and I really enjoy their food. For now we are choosing to spend our money at businesses that have respect for our rights.
Are you going to ban Chipotle?

Don’t you think(seeing as Chipotle is privately owned) they actually have a right to prevent you from carrying a gun in their restaurant? Your rights end where they intrude on anothers, seeing as it is private property they have the right to tell you that you are wrong and need to grow a brain.
